"Investing in higher education opens doors"
College: Business
Degree Program: Business Administration
Degree: Master's
Why FSU?
I graduated in May 2022 with my bachelor's degree from FSU. The three years I spent here have changed my life for the better, and the friendships I've made have enriched my life in more ways than I can count. Since I graduated with my undergraduate degree in three years, I decided to stay here longer for my fourth.
Motivation to pursue a graduate degree
I was interested in higher education and wanted to use my time in college to differentiate myself on the job market. I specifically chose the Master of Business Administration (MBA) because I wanted to take advantage of more opportunities to grow as a professional. I also figured it would be easier to do my graduate degree now because I'm already adapted to the workload of a student.
Importance and/or impact of research and work
Business is at the heart of what we all do professionally. In the FSU College of Business, we emphasize the importance of marketing ourselves, the dynamics of industry-specific trends, and the dynamics of tech in the business world. A lot of the information helps us grow in soft skills that we should all have as professionals regardless of the industry.
Career aspirations
My goal is to invest in real estate and help others attain properties of their own. I hope to use the knowledge I gain from my Real Estate Specialization in the MBA program to provide insight into my professional endeavors.
Advice for anyone considering graduate school
If you're considering attending graduate school, I would say to go for it. Graduate school is a great way to invest in both your education and career.
Accomplishments during graduate career
I earned my real estate license. I also got elected as secretary of the MBA cohort.
