Why FSU?

The FSU School of Information is a top-ranked program for Information Technology. I wanted to attend a school with a record of academic excellence. FSU has allowed me to further my education in the field that I work in.

Motivation to pursue a graduate degree

My wife and two daughters are my motivation for pursuing a graduate degree. They inspire me to be the best that I can be. Pursuing a graduate degree also opens up career opportunities.

Importance and/or impact of research and work

The program has made me a better professional. The program also has allowed me to stay relevant and keep up with the rapid changes that happen in technology.

Describe an aspect of your military service that is especially memorable or exceptional

I enjoyed the camaraderie and the friendships that I built during my time in the Navy. Working as a team and getting the job done in tough times was memorable.

Tell us how your military service provided skills and experiences that you were able to apply to your graduate studies.

The United States Navy taught me honor, courage, and commitment. I still apply these values to my work ethic. I am committed to doing the best that I can in the program and to helping fellow classmates where I can along the way.

Career aspirations

I hope to teach one day at the state college level and eventually pursue management.

It's never too late to pursue a graduate degree or any form of higher education. Never stop learning!
