Why FSU?

FSU is one of a handful of schools in the United States that offers a combined doctoral program in counseling and school psychology. Ultimately, my time at FSU will provide me with a more robust education and set me up well to succeed in the industry.

Motivation to pursue a graduate degree

For me, a graduate degree is an opportunity to continue to grow, and it satisfies my desire to learn and become an educated individual. Additionally, a graduate degree allows me to pursue the career I want and will allow for more options throughout my life.

Importance and impact of research

Broadly, my research interests are concerned with international students and student-athletes and how those roles influence an individual’s overall wellness. These vulnerable populations are typically underserved. College is a formative time for many people, and it is crucial that during this time individuals are provided the tools to become happy and healthy citizens of the world.

Career aspirations

I hope to work in an integrative setting, working alongside other health professionals to provide comprehensive services in a single location.
