Fulbright U.S. Student Program

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides opportunities to teach English, conduct independent research/creative projects, or enroll in graduate coursework in more than 150 countries around the world. It is open to graduate students in any discipline or degree program, though it is limited to U.S. citizens. FSU has an internal application process; contact ogfa-info@fsu.edu to learn more.

American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship

The American Heart Association offers funding to support one to two years of mentored training to students in pre-doctoral and clinical health degree programs who intend to have careers as scientists, physician-scientists or other clinician-scientists focused on improving global cardiovascular or cerebrovascular health.

Department of Energy (DOE) Scholars Program

The DOE Scholars Program is your chance to connect with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and explore exciting career opportunities in science, technology, research, and policy. This program is designed to help you build your skills, gain hands-on experience, and prepare for impactful careers that support the DOE’s mission and operations.

URA Visiting Scholars Award (Fermilab)

The Universities Research Association Visiting Scholars Award is now accepting applications from graduate students interested in working at Fermilab for up to one year. Program experiences can range from attending Fermilab conferences and summer schools to extended, year-long research stays. Depending on the type of visit, support may include travel and local lodging for short-term visits or salary support and round-trip travel for longer residencies.

Institute for Humane Studies - Humane Studies Fellowship

The Humane Studies Fellowship offers grants to PhD students conducting research within the liberal tradition at an accredited college or university. Whether you need support for completing major research projects, taking a semester sabbatical for writing, presenting work at top conferences, making journal submissions, or participating in other eligible activities, you are welcome to apply for funding.

Congressional Research Grants

The Dirksen Congressional Center invites applications for grants to fund research on congressional leadership and the U.S. Congress. The Center encourages graduate students who have successfully defended their dissertation prospectus to apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens who reside in the United States.
