I wanted to pursue a graduate degree through the Fulbright Foreign Student Program because it will give me the necessary tools to conduct high-quality research. The Department of Philosophy is the home of two philosophers that I wanted to collaborate with on research: Michael Bishop and Michael Ruse. My work seeks to understand what well-being is, what it is not, and I'm also interested in understanding how to achieve it. This topic is relevant not only for personal purposes but also for designing public policies. Ultimately, I want to get a research position at a university to generate knowledge that will have a positive impact in people's lives. Graduate school is a great opportunity! You will learn a lot, develop skills, expand your horizons, and have experiences that will positively mark your life. Work hard and stay passionate about what you do. Balance work with relaxation time, and take advantage of what the university has to offer outside academics.
