Motivation to pursue a graduate degree

I cannot explain why I chose it. But I can tell you now FSU is special. Its invited me from a country where coming to America and fulfilling my dream of completing masters degree was just a dream. It has given me the opportunity to explore, research and broaden the spectrum of my thoughts. Graduate degree helps you situate the learning that you can apply in the professional world. It makes you ready for the lethal worldly competition.

Importance and/or impact of research and work

I came to USA for Master's Degree i.e. MSIT. I was encouraged by my professor to join PhD. program. I am pursuing a PhD. in Information Science and I plan to join the academic world after completing PhD.

Career aspirations

My career goal is to build a research-driven career focused on understanding how people interact with AI and digital information systems. I aim to contribute to the design of technologies that support critical thinking, reduce cognitive overload, and promote information well-being. Ultimately, I hope to bridge research and practice by informing more responsible and human-centered AI use.

Advice for anyone considering graduate school

Be clear about your goals and make sure graduate school aligns with what you want to achieve, not just what feels like the “next step.” Take time to research programs, talk to current students, and understand the expectations, workload, and funding options. Most importantly, choose a supportive advisor and environment—they can shape your entire experience.

Accomplishments during graduate career

I had received a Best Graduate Award in 2022 during Masters Program. Then, I got the Best Research Award for the Best Research Day in 2023. Publishing papers in AMICS 2023, 2025, ICIS 2025, SAIS 2025, (2)-2026. Becoming a finalist for 3MT thesis presentation has been my most successful achievements in the Masters and Doctoral Journey as of now. For now publishing papers is really important for me so this is my most meaningful achievement. Rest, I have waited for 3MT competition for two years and I want to be the 3MT competition winner for 2026 because public speaking has been my strength and I want to achieve this.
