McKnight Doctoral Fellowship
Psychology

I am pursuing a doctorate in Social Psychology with a focus in racial identity, prejudice, and minority issues research. The main reason that I am pursuing a graduate degree is because prejudice and racial relations are still huge issues in the world. With a graduate degree, I can become a professional researcher who investigates these issues and potential methods to improve them and hopefully make the world a little bit better. While getting this degree, the McKnight doctoral fellowship will shoulder the lion’s share of funding my graduate education. I am able to be in graduate school, focus on my schoolwork, and conduct research because of the McKnight fellowship. After I achieve my doctorate, I hope to continue doing research at a nonprofit, government agency, or university and, of course, remain active with the McKnight Fellows.
